If you would like to practice sports you will find an 18 hole golf course with a horse riding stables where you can rent horses to visit the area, a sailing club which offers use of its equipment and a sailing school where you can discover the fun of navigating in Etretat's bay using a wide variety of crafts : Catamaran, Paddle boat, Wind surfer..
The town also hosts the very popular Normandy festival.
In the region, you will like following the minor roads round the scenic shore, down from the picturesque Varengeville and the pretty Veules-les-Roses, to Fécamp, a bigger, historic town walled-in by awesome cliffs. It has a thriving harbour, an excellent saturday market and is famous as the home of Bénédictine liqueur - don't miss a tour of the distillerie.
If you wish to go down to the sea, you will find a nice sea-side resort, between Etretat and Fecamp. Yport is a quite pleasant little town with several shops, the obligatory casino, and a very nice choice of hotel/restaurants on the beach front. Yport is located in an alcove, with massive cliffs on both sides, and the view is quite delightful.
